What’s Typically Included

Full Assembly of All Pieces

A standard patio set assembly includes putting together every item that came in the box — chairs, table, loungers, benches, umbrellas with bases, and any ottomans or side tables. Each piece is assembled per manufacturer instructions and checked for stability before the assembler moves on.

Hardware Installation

All bolts, screws, caps, and fittings that came with the set are installed during assembly. A good assembler will also flag any missing or defective hardware before starting so you can contact the retailer without delay.

Basic Placement

Most assemblers will place finished pieces in the general area you want — on your patio, deck, or lanai. You direct where things go as they’re completed.

Packaging Removal

Breaking down boxes and collecting packing materials is typically part of the job. You shouldn’t be left with a mountain of styrofoam and cardboard after the work is done.

What’s Not Included

Delivery or Moving Boxes Inside

Assembly services start once the boxes are accessible. If your delivery was left at the curb or in a garage, you’ll want to get them to the work area beforehand — or ask upfront if the assembler offers help with that.

Anchor Installation or Deck Mounting

If you want furniture bolted to a deck or an umbrella base anchored to a surface, that’s typically outside standard assembly. It often requires drilling into the structure and may need a separate quote.

Cushion Covers or Fabric Cleaning

Assembly covers the frame and structure. Washing cushion covers, treating fabric, or applying weather sealant isn’t part of the job.

Repairs or Pre-Existing Damage

If pieces arrived damaged, that’s a retailer issue — not something an assembler can fix. Always inspect items as they’re being assembled and document any damage for a claim.
